The Way I See It: In Pursuit of Clear Skin

As a beauty blogger, I am often asked what the ‘secret’ to getting radiant, clear skin is. But the truth is, there is no amazing, rare ingredient or super-hero product that will instantly give you the skin of your dreams. There are however, simple changes you can make to your routine and lifestyle to pave the way to healthier, more clear skin.

1. Outer Beauty Starts From Within
What you put into your body matters, as it affects all it’s functions and performance. So, make sure to eat plenty of leafy greens and get your daily dose of essential vitamins. These play an important role in maintaining your overall health.

Not only does proper nutrition help you to achieve clear skin, it also prevents disease, aids in digestion, keep muscles and bones strong and in shape, and even helps improve cognitive ability. Bottom line: Your body deserves a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

2. Water Works
I can not stress enough how vital it is to stay hydrated. Your body is composed of up to 60% water, which is needed to carry out many crucial bodily tasks.

Drinking water also helps to speed up your metabolism and clear toxins from your body, meaning your skin will likely be more clear and glowing.

3. Less is More & Oils Galore
When it comes to a good skincare routine, the more layering doesn’t exactly equate to better skin. In fact, too many products can be overly harsh on the skin and cause other issues. It’s best to find a few, pure products with clean ingredients and many benefits.

I highly recommend using high quality oils such as argan, rosehip, sea buckthorn, and tamanu. These facial oils deeply nourish the skin, while also touting many other skin-enhancing pros. They can range from being anti-inflammatory and amazing for acne-prone skin, to advancing skin cell production and treating signs of aging. Just make sure to choose the one best suited for you!
